Trauma-Work 101 Masterclass & Consultation Group

Move beyond Insight & Management Strategies to Renegotiation & Repair

You understand your client’s trauma. Maybe they do too.
But you’re not always sure how to support their nervous system to actually experience something different.

How to stop looping, protecting, living in vigilance, or numbing out and keeping everything at a distance- maybe even you and the healing process too.

You and your client both can identify the wound.
You both understand the patterns.
You’re both aware of when the shut down, panic, people-pleasing, or overwhelm happens and how the symptoms are all related.

And yet, you may still find yourself wondering:

What do I actually do with this in the room?
How do I know whether my client is processing—or repeating?
What should I do when their words say they are fine, but their body tells a different story?
How do I actually help? not just rescue, bypass, analyze, reassure, over-regulate, or reach for another coping skill.

Because here’s the thing:
Insight can help clients understand why they are suffering. Coping skills can help clients manage their distress.
But insight and coping skills do not change or heal clients’ symptoms or patterns.

To help a client renegotiate what their bodies, nervous systems, and attachment systems have learned to do to protect themselves, and the way they might be stuck, we need to move beyond insight and management strategies.

This is what I teach in the masterclass.

A 2-part embodied learning space for clinicians and coaches

In this training you'll learn:

  1. How to define and understand trauma not simply as an event but as a nervous system experience that shows up in session

  2. How to identify trauma physiology and healing physiology

  3. How incomplete self protective responses become emotional and physical symptoms

  4. How to recognize incomplete self protective responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) & work with them in real time in a session

  5. How to recognize a client’s capacity for contact with trauma content, and when a client is approaching overwhelm, or moving into shutdown

  6. 5 Principles of trauma-informed care and conditions for trauma renegotiation

  7. An Understanding of orienting & neuroception, and how & why to support a client to orient

  8. How to listen beyond the story and practice the number 1 trauma-work skill: tracking

  9. How & why to help clients access bodily sensation without overwhelming them

  10. How to observe & use what’s happening inside you

You’ll leave this training with a framework that shifts reliance on coping skills, fixing & management strategies to trauma renegotiation & resolution on a nervous system & attachment system level.

Your learning continues after the videos

Your purchase also includes access to a live, quarterly consultation group for masterclass participants.

Bring questions from the training, moments from your clinical work, or cases you want help thinking through from a trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-based perspective, or just join to listen and connect!

The group is:

  • Live and interactive

  • Offered quarterly

  • Optional and ongoing

  • Open only to masterclass participants

  • Not recorded, allowing for greater privacy and honest clinical exploration

You can attend once or return each quarter as new questions emerge in your work.

Part Two: Applying the Work

Understanding trauma theory and knowing how to use it with a real person are not the same thing. In the second video, I walk you through 2 mock client sessions and demonstrate how I would apply these principles in practice.

You’ll see how I think through:

  • What the client’s nervous system may be communicating

  • What I would track in the room, in the client, and in myself

  • How I would pace the work

  • Examples of what I might say or ask

  • How I support safety, choice, connection, and capacity

  • How the therapeutic relationship becomes part of the healing environment

This is not a scripted protocol. It is an opportunity to learn how a somatic and attachment-oriented therapist sees, thinks, and responds in sessions.

Part One: The Foundations

In the first video, we explore:

  • What trauma actually is

  • Trauma physiology and healing physiology

  • Incomplete self-protective responses

  • Identifying Window of Tolerance

  • Orienting and neuroception

  • Tracking

  • Principles of trauma-informed care

  • Curiosity, attunement, and listening beneath the narrative

  • Building capacity for accessing sensation

What you’ll get:

  • 2 on demand training modules with approximately 90 minutes of video instruction

  • immediate and lifetime access to training materials

  • FREE access to ongoing live consultation group (optional, drop in support & connection)

This is not about becoming the provider who always knows the perfect thing to say.

It is about becoming the clinician or coach who can stay curious when there is nothing to fix.

Who trusts that their relationship with their clients is their greatest intervention.

Who can recognize when a client is stuck fighting, fleeing, freezing, or fawning, and know how to create the conditions for renegotiation.

When you understand those conditions, sessions begin to feel less like searching for the right tool, skill, or words to say and more like supporting a process that is already trying to unfold.
