Meet Maggie

Maggie Saltiel, LCSW, PMH-C - Founding Psychotherapist & Educator

Fee: $175/ 50 minute session

Hi, Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Maggie.

My approach as a therapist is relational and authentic. I like to keep it real in our sessions, and invite you to do the same! When we work together, our relationship is real and our sessions are not cookie-cutter- they’re highly individualized. It’s so important to me that I see you, I understand you, and I hold whats hurting with you.

I believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and that inside you is an innate capacity for healing and growth. My role is to co-create a safe space where your feelings, patterns, symptoms, and experiences can be explored with curiosity and care. Together, we’ll listen to the wisdom of your body, your story, and your nervous system—and make space for what needs to be seen, held, and integrated.

My approach is grounded in somatic and attachment-based frameworks, with specialized training in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and reproductive, perinatal, and infant mental health. I’m certified as a Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International. I bring a trauma-informed lens to all of my work and have robust experience supporting clients through trauma experiences, anxiety, panic, OCD, identity exploration, embodiment, and life transitions.

I utilize a mix of other evidence-based practices in my sessions, including Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness methods. However, the bulk of my therapeutic framework is rooted in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR- meaning, I am always curious about the stories your nervous system is telling and how your experiences have shaped these stories.

I am LGBTQ+ affirming and identify as part of the queer community. I’m also half Cuban-American and speak Spanish as a second language. I’m committed to creating a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for all parts of your culture, identity, and background to show up in our sessions.

In my me time, I enjoy latin dancing (salsa & bachata), contemplative writing, and a foamy cappuccino in the morning.

In addition to offering individual psychotherapy, I also teach prevention and education classes for birth and postpartum wellness, and provide consultation and fellowship for clinicians seeking to grow their practice in trauma-informed, attachment-based work.

I love working with clients who:

  • Feel overwhelmed, anxious, scared, or not quite like themselves lately

  • Are experiencing thoughts that feel scary, intrusive, or unfamiliar and uncomfortable

  • Have ever been told they’re “too much” or “too sensitive”

  • Are struggling to process something recent or something long buried

  • Feel stuck in patterns, triggers, or relationships that they know no longer serve them

  • Are navigating a major life shift or struggling to step into a new identity

  • Are somewhere in the thick of a reproductive journey— grappling with infertility, navigating IVF, or somewhere else all together

  • Have lost a baby and have no idea how to even begin to move through the grief

  • Are first-time parents feeling anxious, tender, or overwhelmed

  • Are noticing their own childhood wounds resurface as they parent

  • Have tried therapy before, are ready to dive deeper, but found traditional talk therapy limited or lacking

  • Are experiencing physical symptoms like chronic tension, fatigue, or digestive issues, and have a hunch there’s something emotional or nervous system-related underneath

My clients often tell me they return each session not just for the tools or insights, but for the depth of our relationship itself- a space where they feel seen, met, and safe to be fully human.

If that’s what you’re longing for, let’s co-create a home for healing together. I’d be honored to walk with you—please don’t hesitate to reach out.
