Sen·so·ma /ˈsensōmə/ – to feel in the body

At Sensoma Psychotherapy, we believe healing begins with coming home to yourself. The name Sensoma is rooted in the Latin words sentire (to feel) and soma (body), reflecting our belief that healing happens when we are curious about the stories our bodies are telling us and the experiences that have shaped those stories.

Our practice is grounded in the principles of attachment theory, somatic healing, and trauma informed-care. We support clients in reconnecting with their innate capacity for safety, connection, and self-trust—through presence, attunement, and real relationship.

Sensoma is an invitation to feel—fully, safely, and in your body.

    • OCD

Anxiety and OCD both involve worry, fear, and an overactive sympathetic nervous system. We use a combination of somatic and cognitive approaches to support clients to build capacity for feeling both fear and safety at a nervous system level and to confront their deeper core beliefs. However, OCD is often misunderstood and requires proper assessment and treatment. We use an ERP informed approach to treatment to support clients to face their fears and build tolerance for distress.

What Clients Say

Maggie helped me distill the turmoil and noise into one central question. I felt a remarkable weight off my shoulders. Giggles even bubbled up more easily, and that was a joy to feel. I know I will continue to face challenges, but knowing my central question and the hope that arises from developing skills/strategies to work with that feels empowering and productive. Maggie said that she was just walking along this journey with me, but she was so good at seeing patterns that I have not seen despite all my reflections. Her ability to “turn down the noise” and see a central pattern/question was remarkable. ”
— Julie, Mom of 1 year old

"I can't speak highly enough about Maggie. Her warmth, care, and intuitive insights truly made a difference in my life. I felt really close to her in a way that was really genuine on both our parts. She guided me in processing my birthing experience which helped me overcome the array of challenges I faced at that time. Her use of somatic experiencing was really unique and transformative part of our work. Maggie is an absolute gem, and her support has been invaluable.”
— H.B., NICU mom

“I cannot recommend or thank Kedri enough. I found Kedri to be flexible, attentive, invested, insightful, and able to lead my therapy in a way that brought the most relief.”

”The best way to explain [the impact of EMDR with Kedri} is that when specific scenarios manifested in my life, my primal reaction was nearly always an immediate level 10 panic reaction- regardless of the level of the trigger- coming at a great cost emotionally, spiritually and physically. It's only been a few weeks since my final session, but since that time, there have been two major incidents that would have typically cost me days, or even weeks, in terms of balanced mental health. In both incidents, I was able to respond from a place of strength and my peace was stable.”
