Your voice is your most powerful tool as a therapist—and not just in the therapy room. In private practice, your voice is how clients begin to feel and resonate with you, even before the first session. Developing Your Voice is a reflective, practical guide that helps you uncover the heart of your work, clarify your message, and connect with clients through authenticity and intention.
In this guide, you'll learn:
Why “voice” is more than just a marketing tool—it’s how clients build trust and safety before they even meet you
How to write and talk like you—not a therapy robot
What authenticity really looks like in a professional context
A step-by-step reflection process to uncover your values, vision, and the masks you’ve been taught to wear
A transformative bio-writing exercise to help you stand out, not just fit in
This guide is perfect for therapists looking for support with developing this fundamental tool, and who want to build a practice that not only feels aligned, but alive.
This guide is a game-changer for any clinician stepping into private practice or struggling to fill their practice. Nailing the Initial Consultation is a real-talk, step-by-step training guide designed to help therapists navigate that first 20-minute call with confidence, clarity, and authenticity.
In this guide, you'll learn:
Why the initial consultation is really about building buy-in, not delivering a pitch
How sales skills like active listening, framing, and objection handling are actually therapeutic skills
Clear sample scripts for calls
How to move towards reservations and barriers and remove obstacles to therapy while respecting client autonomy
The exact mindset shifts and boundaries that help prevent burnout and attract aligned clients
Created by a trauma-informed therapist who gets the tension between clinical integrity and business strategy, this resource is perfect for therapists who want to fill their caseload with intention, stay rooted in their values, and build a sustainable practice.
Trauma-Informed Care Training
I offer customized training for healthcare providers and therapists, helping your team understand trauma through a nervous system lens and apply trauma-informed care in real-world practice.
This 2-hour training is designed to help healthcare professionals and therapists deepen their understanding of trauma not just as an event, but as a physiological and relational experience that shows up in your appointments together. You’ll learn to recognize trauma’s impact on the nervous system, how to assess and work with trauma physiology, and how to provide care that is reparative.
What You’ll Learn:
The Physiology of Trauma:
Understand trauma as dysregulation in nervous system, not simply an event or diagnosis.Recognizing & Working with Trauma Physiology:
Learn how symptoms like anxiety, chronic pain, IBS, fatigue, dissociation, and numbness reflect trauma physiology- and how to differentiate these from other medical conditions, and work with them in real timePrinciples of Trauma-Informed Care:
Learn to center safety, autonomy, and attunement, supporting each client’s innate capacity for healing.Tracking: The Core Skill of Trauma-Informed Practice:
Practice tracking bodily cues- in clients and in yourself- as a foundation for attunement, connection, and nervous system regulation.Practical Application:
Gain concrete strategies and interventions to integrate trauma-informed care into your daily workPlus, time for case consultations
Why This Training Matters:
Trauma-informed care has become such a buzz word- and there’s a reason for that. The landmark ACE Study found that trauma and chronic stress significantly increase the risk for nearly every major health condition- including heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, chronic lung disease, anxiety, depression, and suicidality. But what does trauma-informed care really mean?
Whether you're a nurse, therapist, doctor, or other helping professional, understanding trauma physiology and how to work with it can transform your practice. You’ll leave this training with a framework that helps you meet clients where they are, hold space for their stories without needing to fix them, and support their nervous systems toward repair and resilience.
